I wanted to write an article with AI, so I asked ChatGPT how AI can help improve marketing:

First off, I needed to direct the AI to write in Canadian English, as the spelling was off for the conventions we follow for the Award Pool site. It also didn't sound like me - regardless of how many prompts I add, it will never create the exact cadence and style of the Award Pool content writers.

I noticed AI was happy to mention its usefulness in repetitive tasks and finding patterns. That is a precious tool to have in any marketer's toolbox, and most of us have AI-driven tools already that help analyze patterns and improve our marketing campaigns.

However, I was most impressed with its mention that "not a one-size-fits-all solution" when it comes to marketing. That is precisely why Award Pool exists, ensuring every marketing campaign and community-building strategy is focused on the creator and their brand. That is why your colours (note the way I spelled colour), your messaging and your unique actions come together to create an Award Pool campaign.

That being said, you can use AI to help you create a unique NFT that speaks to your brand with MidJourney or use ChatGPT to help answer some technical explanations you want to include in a blog post. AI could help analyze your newsletter and improve the placement of content and images before you start asking users to sign up.

Discussions on the future of AI and systems such as ChatGPT and MidJourney are everywhere. There is a fear that designers and writers will be out of a job. However, if you ask two people, a talented designer and someone who isn't a designer, to use MidJourney and prompt it to create an NFT, you will get two very different results. The designer can visualize where they want the look to go and have the know-how to prompt it correctly to give them that result. It could be a handy tool for storyboarding or concept design. Just as a writer can use the tool to research facts and backstories to help create better content.

The most important message you can take away from marketing and AI is that it can help better your marketing creativity and certainly help with targeting your audience but will never replace that which makes your story - you.
